BanMacro is a program designed to eliminate the macro virus problem. The most common type of viruses found nowadays is the macro virus. Macro viruses are also becoming complex and deadly. Macro viruses are easy to create and they can do almost anything a Windows EXE program can. The latest feature exploited by macro viruses is the use of email to spread the virus itself. BanMacro works on Windows 95 and Windows 98. BanMacro can be used even on computers installed with any other anti-virus software.

BanMacro can handle Word 6.0, Word for Windows 95, Word 97 and Excel 97 files. The next upgrade will also handle Excel 5.0 and Excel for Windows 95 files.

BanMacro will create a log file containing the list of documents from which the macros are removed.
