W32/Chatosky Worm

 Information about the W32/Chatosky Worm:

W32/Chatosky is a worm. The worm will infect Windows systems and spreads through Skype chat messages.

The worm arrives as a downloaded file or code via Skype.

Upon executon, the worm searches the registry for the location of the Skype application.

If the location of the Skype is not found then it displays the following message and then exits;

Error!
I could not find Skype !

If the location is found, it executes the Skype application and displays the following message;

Warning!
Allow this program in skype!

Then worm queries Skype for random users every 3 minutes.

It also Starts the Skype application and sends the following message to the users;

Check this! http://marx2.altervista.org/surpr(Blocked)

This worm first appeared on December 19, 2006.
