Davinia Worm
Davinia is a visual basic script worm spreads under Office 2000 environment. It uses vulnerability of Office 2000 to spread this worm. The infected mail comes as a HTML message, which includes embedded script. Once the infected message is open it connects to two different web sites and try to run an ActiveX script. It loads a document named LD.DOC and writes a VBS file LITTLEDAVINIA.VBS to local machine. It also alters windows registry to load the script during next Windows startup. After this the macro code present in the document will try to send the infected HTML messages using the Outlook address book. During the next windows startup the VBS script file attempts to rename every file with a HTML file.
